This fee is collected by and donated to a local charity chosen by Metropolitan Bride. In Springfield, door proceeds benefit Operation US and FVC. Joplin’s bridal expo is a benefit for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States. What should I wear?Remember that you’ll be walking down aisle after aisle to meet potential wedding vendors while enjoying tastings and signing up for drawings. Dress comfortably and leave the stilettos at home. What should I bring?Many vendors offer drawings that will require you to write out your personal information over and over again. To save time, print labels that include your full name, phone number, email address and wedding date. Don’t forget to bring your checkbook and debit/credit card. Some vendors offer show discounts if you place your deposit that day. Also, remember your calendar or palm pilot since you may want to schedule follow up meetings or consultations. How much time should I allow at the bridal show?Try to schedule 2-4 hours to spend at the bridal show. There will be a lot of different vendors with the latest in wedding products/services and you’ll want to take your time visiting with each one. Who should I bring?Consider bringing your fiancé, mom, maid or matron of honor or anyone else who can offer you their opinion about a potential wedding vendor. Are children allowed?Although the wedding show is designed for brides to be, children are allowed to attend. However, keep in mind that children can be a distraction. Try to arrange for a babysitter to allow you an uninterrupted and stress-free day. When are prizes awarded?Prizes are awarded throughout the day by many of our merchants. However, the wedding dress giveaway will occur at the end of the day. Are photos/video cameras allowed at vendor or fashion show?
To protect our vendors, photos and videos are not allowed during the bridal show. You will be asked to delete from phones or digital cameras any photos taken. Film may be confiscated.
